G. Todd Burwell is a native of Indianola, Mississippi.  Mr. Burwell received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mississippi in 1988 with majors in both English and Political Science.  Mr. Burwell received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi in 1990.  Mr. Burwell has extensive experience in the field of litigation.  The primary areas of his practice are commercial litigation, insurance defense litigation, professional negligence litigation, real estate litigation, ERISA litigation and personal injury litigation.  Mr. Burwell also dedicates much of his practice to general business matters including corporate and limited liability company formation; contract drafting, review and negotiation.  Mr. Burwell is also a certified mediator.  He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association and attended the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy.  Mr. Burwell is admitted to practice before all Mississippi State Courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  Mr. Burwell has also practiced in state and federal courts in Arkansas, California, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas.
